Playing the redefining game!

Ooh! Pick me!

In the spirit of conforming to the world, I have decided that I would like to redefine some words…just a few…for now.

First, I’ve decided to call spinach by the most excellent word PIZZA. That way, when I pull it out, my boys will devour it because they love pizza so they should love spinach if it has the same name as pizza. Right?

Next, I would like to call chocolate…salad. That way, I can eat as much as I want and never feel guilty and will also have the benefits of growing more and more healthy.

The next word I would like to redefine is coffee by calling it water. When I am dehydrated, I will run to the coffee maker and drink and drink and drink. The stuff that comes out of the faucet is so yesterday.

And finally for today I would like to call Monday, ahhh, Saturday. I won’t have to take the boys to school. I won’t have to get up early. I can have another cup of coffee, er um, water.

Will people be mad at me if I don’t show up to work? Will people be mad at me if I don’t run those bills to the post office on the day after Sunday since its my new Saturday which is yesterday and today for me. Why would people get mad at me if I do things this way? That’s what Monday now means to me. Don’t try to get a hold of me. I sleep in on that/those days…

Times up!

About lamehousewife

poetry, articles, thoughts, and quotes... on a quest to be authentic in my motherhood, sisterhood, and daughterhood, but i can tend to become Juvenalian sometimes, maybe in writing but also in life, reading Swift's "A Modest Proposal" as if i were hearing a friend speak to me about the how ridiculous some ideas can become, especially when they begin to drift into reality, mocking all of us really... i identify with Mary Magdalene, James, and Peter and am extremely grateful for that woman who said, "Yes!"...oh and i can be pretty lame...blessings to you, dear reader...pray for a single mother, her children, and the father of her children today!

Requires a lot of imagination – you try it though :-)

    • Well, the more I thought about it, I would have a lot of trash building up since Monday is trash day, too. I think I will just use the words in the same old way… lol! :) and thank you for playing! God bless…
