You all are so good to me! I am going to try to catch up today on the awards that I have been given since my classes began. I also want to pass on some articles that I have read and give you an update on my education classes. And, on top of that I think I am going to be moving my MODERN MYTHOLOGY series to the CLAPortfolio blog that I have begun since it is more relevant to that blog. Anyway, I am anxious to begin catching up with you all.
Thank You for the Awards or, er, uh whatever this is that Biltrix gave me! Take a look:)

The rules for this game of tag!
1. Each person tagged must post 11 things about themselves.
2. They must also answer the 11 questions the “tagger” has set for them.
3. They must create 11 more questions to ask bloggers they have decided to tag.
4. They must then choose 11 bloggers and tag them in their post.
5. These “lucky” bloggers must then be told.
6. No tag backs.
- Have you ever read a dialogue by Plato? Yes, the Republic.
- Do you know any foreign languages? Yes, German and a wee bit of Latin. Does Chaucer count?
- How good are you at math? I make do but not my favorite thing to do.
- Are you a convert? Well…that’s actually a pretty involved question for me. See “Conversion Story” under my categories on the right.
- Would you like to renew your baptismal promises? Love to!
- Do you reject Satan? I do.
- And all his works? I do.
- And all his empty promises? I do.
- Do you believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth? Yes, I do!
- Do you believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary was crucified, died, and was buried, rose from the dead, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father? I do!
- Do you believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting? I do!
My 11 Questions for You…
1. Do you think anything is wrong with our current educational system?
2. If you answered ‘yes,’ please answer the following: what do you see wrong with the system?
3. How would you propose to help the education system?
4. Why do you think this happened?
5. How were you educated?
6. What do you think, not feel, helped you learn the most?
7. What subjects do you think are important?
8. Do you think boys and girls learn differently?
9. Do you think that people that grow up with a different language at home learn differently?
10. If you have children or those in your care, what do you think is the most important thing you would want them to know?
11. Do you think having intelligence and money means that a person knows what is right according to the Catholic Church?
Have fun!
And to the next award from The Rainey View!

See also Wage Gap Vanishes: Video and the miracle of life reblogged by The Rainey View. Thank you Rainey View for the award! I am humbled.
The rules are:
- Name your favourite saint and why.
- Name your favourite part of the Mass and why.
- Name your favourite part of being Catholic and why.
Wow! My favorite Saints? Tough question. They all have stepped in to help me from time to time. The two, no, three I resort to the most…when in need–Our Lady! There is nothing like the prayer of the Rosary. When I need to be reminded to stay on the path–Mother Teresa! For my everyday battles to pursue holiness–St. Francis de Sales! But like I said, many of the Saints have stepped in to help me. They are a good team, that is for sure!
My favorite part of the Mass? The Eucharist! but I need every part leading up to that, too! The older I get the more the Eucharist astonishes, excites, and dumbfounds me all at the same time! What an awesome, awesome gift!
My favorite part of being Catholic? The Church is the only place I have found where suffering is embraced to create a miracle. Suffering is not denied; it is not something to run away from; it is not something hopeless. Suffering is embraced; suffering becomes strength; suffering begins to spread hope of life everlasting with the Person of Love. In the Church, I am understood, and I can finally understand me and the world I live in and why things are as they are. And of course, this is all because of Jesus who embraced that Cross for you and me. Grace is free!
Speaking of Grace, take a look at Gracie’s Quest who nominated me for the Sisterhood of the World Blogger award back in September. Sorry it has taken me soooo long to get to this, Gracie!

1) All recipients need to thank the giver 2) Post 7 things about yourself 3) Pass the award on to 7 other bloggers of their choice and let them know that they have been nominated. 4) Include the logo of the award in a post or on your blog
Seven things…I just finished two courses in my MeD program. I really enjoyed it. I started two more classes that…well…I don’t like as much. I plan on making a post about that soon. My boys have transitioned back into full-time participation into public school. I keep getting teary-eyed at how much grace God keeps pouring around and through and in me and the boys. You all must be powerful pray-ers! I need to start walking outside again because after taking an adolescent literature course where I had to read over 60 books, I, uh, well…okay enough of that confession. And finally, I need to go to confession anyway just because time passes, and I am really too good at making excuses for not going when I just need to get my lameness in there. It’s a good day to go:)
And to my super sweet Biltrix friends who passed the Super Sweet Blogger on a couple of months ago…

Rules for this award include:
- Thank the super sweet blogger who made the nomination.
- Nominate a baker’s dozen of other bloggers (below…)
- And answer five questions:
- Cookie or cake? Uh…brownies:)
- Chocolate or Vanilla? Chocolate…dark with caramel.
- What is your favourite sweet treat? Uh…brownies!
- When do you crave sweet things the most? That would be around the time…of the, uh…oh, nevermind.
- If you had a sweet nickname, what would it be? Saying my name actually does more wonders!
Now, the tricky part. Nominations…mmmmm….11+7+12…Is that 30 bloggers? Okay, so here’s the deal. Pick your favorite one from this post, claim it, and pass it on. Sound like a plan? And Biltrix, since you make me laugh whenever I get these awards passed onto me, I am doing the foolishly lame thing of tagging you back. Tee-hee! I really would like to know your thoughts about education, by the way.

You are welcome:)
Wow! You really cashed in today! Too bad the only thing left for me to pick up is the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award — thanks for tagging me back, but I must decline.
My thoughts on education: Yes, the system is in disarray. Please allow me to get back to you on the other 10 questions. They are great questions and some of them deserve a fair amount of thought before answering.
Congratulations on all the awards and God bless!
No sisterhood today, huh? I guess I understand. God bless you too:)
I love your answer on what your favorite part about being Catholic is, by the way. That was beautiful! Thanks!
Thank you!
Wow, LH! That was some blog post. Must have taken you all day
Thanks for the nomination. The one I don’t have is the Sisterhood award. I’ll take it on behalf of Biltrix
