Awards, Awards, Awards–Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

Good things come in threes, huh?

One…two…three…

Biltrix….Life Vigil….Catholic1.net

I found them on the internet.

Wait! Maybe, they found me.

Good connections are always in threes…

I just want to thank each of you for nominating me for the awards. I started laughing today about it because as soon as I could finally figure out to copy and paste one picture, another person would nominate me. I can’t keep up! So in addition to the “Reader Appreciation Award,” I also was nominated for the two-for-one “One Lovely Blog Award” and my second “Illuminating Blogger Award.” I just figured out how to get the reader award here, and that took me about 30 mins. (might be a browser problem…), so bear with me as I try to sort this all out with or without pictures. In the meantime, here is that beautiful picture of Mary again…

Being the digging for meaning person I am,

I wonder now, what does this all mean?

Think-think-think…

Nope. Notta thing.

Let me tell you about these bloggers then.

Catholic1.Net is one in a billion Catholics or so, a dad, a husband, a youngest brother with three sisters, and a great writer with a sense of humor. I guess he reminds me of my brother–he has a lot of sisters, too. His journey of faith, another conversion story, is beautiful. Love it.

Life Vigil has just begun her adventures in blogging. Welcome to the blogosphere! She hopes to spread the good work of letting life win, seeing all life as sacred and precious.

Biltrix is a group of four guys who want to give the culture LIFE by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, striving to stay relevant with today’s struggles. Always timeless! Always relevant! They have a vicious dog Gracie who gets rid of spam. Actually, she’s really cute.

Now to my nominations (by the way, I am going to pass on about 30)…

Oops! I think I went over a little, so I’ll just tell you 3 things about me.

1. A few of you gentlemen and gentle ladies have expressed the guilt you feel when you write out my name, and a couple of you have told me I am not lame. I am lame :) Just click the link to see why.

2. I do like Star Trek: The Next Generation and other modern mythology as some of you may have guessed already. My oldest, who is also my “geek squad,” helps me remember the episode names because he has an encyclopedia brain.

3. I have four sons. Here are their pictures…

Booth wants to be a movie director when he grows up.
Kermit is the most huggable bear, but he loves frogs.
Spongebob wanted to be Hulk and Worf, too. I leave it up to you to find his other pictures.

Spock wants to be a firefighter when he grows up.

Okay. That’s enough for family photos.

Phew! It worked. Bloggers, pick up your awards! Ready, set, go!

God bless your Friday!

About lamehousewife

poetry, articles, thoughts, and quotes... on a quest to be authentic in my motherhood, sisterhood, and daughterhood, but i can tend to become Juvenalian sometimes, maybe in writing but also in life, reading Swift's "A Modest Proposal" as if i were hearing a friend speak to me about the how ridiculous some ideas can become, especially when they begin to drift into reality, mocking all of us really... i identify with Mary Magdalene, James, and Peter and am extremely grateful for that woman who said, "Yes!"...oh and i can be pretty lame...blessings to you, dear reader...pray for a single mother, her children, and the father of her children today!

  1. Thank you! I am honored!!

  2. SaintlySages says:

Thank you so much for mentioning SaintlySages on your Awards page! We are also fans of Star Trek. Great entertainment and a fun way to recharge the old batteries–or rather, dilithium crystals. Live long and prosper not-so-lame-housewife. We remember you and yours in our prayers each day. God bless!

  3. Hi Lamehousewife,
Interesting piece on your blog title. Thank you very much for the mention, here. A very nice surprise.
    Elaine

What a cute post. Congratulations and thank you! :)

  5. Thanks for the award, LH. I really appreciate it. Congratulations on your very deserving awards. You have lovely sons. The family resemblance is remarkable. LOL!

  6. Biltrix says:

Great post! Great job with the humor. Congratulations for the awards!

Hey… Your youngest looks a lot like Leonard Limoy.

  7. terry1954 says:

thank you for the nomination. i will get to place it in a blog tomorrow. thank you again and congrats on all of yours!!!! Wow!!!

  8. catholic1net says:

Thanks for the very kind words. I certainly am your brother from a holy mother! I just now made that up. I need to copyright it. =) … God love you. Keep the good works coming.

  9. catholic1net says:

One last note, tell your third soon, Spongebob (is that French?) that it’s hip to be square!

    • Yes, I think it is. It comes from the French region in the Swiss Alps, so the “g” is pretty soft, the “e” sounds more like an A, and the final “b” is more like a p. Tee-hee:) Spongebob is very full of life! He keeps us entertained with his bright and gregarious personality, that is for sure. God bless, brother.

  10. Congratulations on your awards! What a lovely surprise for me here. Thank you for all your support all this while on my blog! You are most kind. Have a lovely weekend.

  11. Biltrix says:

Good morning, Lame Housewife! It is my duty to inform you, according to the guidelines for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award, that Biltrix has nominated you for it: http://biltrix.com/2012/08/04/very-inspiring-blogger-award/. If you so choose to accept, it will be our pleasure. Thanks for your inspiring blog!

  12. Jeff Walker says:

Congratulations on your kudos, L! Much deserved I must say. And thank you for the shout out, too. I’m confused though…was that a nomination for a “Reader Appreciation Award” you gave me too? I feel silly for asking, but am trying to catch up on a Monday and would hate to miss something. :)

    • Yes, the “Reader Appreciation Award” is for you. I can see why you’re confused. I got three awards at the same time, and I was laughing as Biltrix and his mom, then Catholic1 sent me awards one right after the other while I made several attempts to copy and paste but couldn’t get things to work right. It was pretty funny.
      Congratulations!

    Thank you so much!
I have been having a problem with my wordpress/emails…
Having to just visit sites that I follow…
I am truly happy that you thought of me.
I will try to post links and/or messages very soon.. :)
Greatly appreciate your thoughtfulness, kindness, and patience :)

Hope all is good with you :)

I appreciate your thoughts...
