Two Kinds-21: Cross

Carrying a cross that requires your being an accomplice to sin resulting in an impending self-pity and anger at being used or using while giving yourself praise for your difficult walk and hard work is a strange expectation to throw on yourself—a fruitless endeavor.

Carrying a cross to avoid sin, to help others with compassion, the Gospel way, and your own two hands, to give God the praise for saving humanity from the darkness we get trapped in is passionate LOVE!

The world’s way is treacherous, daring, challenging you to work hard and alone, accomplishing little.

The Lord’s way, is treacherous, daring, challenging you to work hard with Someone, accomplishing the spread of eternal joy.

In the end, the world gives you nothing.

Jesus gives you Himself.

About lamehousewife

poetry, articles, thoughts, and quotes... on a quest to be authentic in my motherhood, sisterhood, and daughterhood, but i can tend to become Juvenalian sometimes, maybe in writing but also in life, reading Swift's "A Modest Proposal" as if i were hearing a friend speak to me about the how ridiculous some ideas can become, especially when they begin to drift into reality, mocking all of us really... i identify with Mary Magdalene, James, and Peter and am extremely grateful for that woman who said, "Yes!"...oh and i can be pretty lame...blessings to you, dear reader...pray for a single mother, her children, and the father of her children today!

Not to mention the crosses that exist only in our imagination. :)

  2. I must be candid and confess, I love to sin.

    • Sorry it took me so long to reply…I really appreciate your honesty…I frankly don’t know anyone who does not love their sin…otherwise I don’t think they would do it. My hobbit friend, you remind me of our dear little Frodo who liked to wear the ring…Thank you so much for your response…Have a wonderful weekend…

I appreciate your thoughts...
